Mosaic Heart Painted Rock Supplies
I am using paint pens for these stones. I like how easy they are to work with. However, you can get away with filling in your colors with acrylic paint and a toothpick as well. A brush is hard to get all the points filled. Having a black extra fine tip paint pen, like the Posca I am using in this tutorial, makes this process a breeze! Find all of these supplies, including the rocks I have in this tutorial in the link below.

How to Paint Mosaic Hearts Step-by-Step
Below you will find step by step images on how to create this design. There is a full video tutorial after if you are looking for more details or tips!
Start by laying out your heart outline. Next, break the heart into a bunch of smaller sections. Pick a few colors and start filling it in. I avoid having the same color touching side by side. Points touching is going to happen a lot. So work small amounts at a time switching between colors. You can add in more lines if needed! I’m using my glitter Posca pens which gives it a fun shimmer.
Let you colors dry then begin lining all of the sections with your black extra fine tip paint pen. I like to make the edges along the heart curves into straighter lines as well.
