New Years Rock Painting Idea
I have been looking forward to doing some New Year’s Dangles for quite some time now.
Something about the shimmer of the gold and silver just really says Happy New Years to me.
One of my favorite parts about creating dangle rocks is no 2 will be exactly alike.

Step by step instructions for this zendangle painted rock
We have to start by creating something for the dangles to hang from. 2019 is fitting for this year. Of course, you can change this up for each year. For the numbers, I used my 1M black.
Also, you could write Happy New Year for something to use in decor year after year.
Once you have your numbers, or letters, we can start adding on the dangles.
You can widen the base of a number one by starting with an arch and 2 dangles.
I always add a charm at the bottom of each line, almost like a weight. Then add more dots, diamonds, anything you like up the line.
After you have your design on your rock start filling in your shapes. I used silver and gold for this design.
101 Tip: Fill in each of the shapes as much as you can. It is easier to touch up the edges than it is to go back with more color.
Now go in with an extra fine tipped black pen, like the Micron PN pen.
Crisp up the edges of any squares and diamonds. Also look for places your color ran over on your dots.
The silver kind of blends in on the picture below, but you can see how it shimmers in the video!
