I love a good zendoodle design. Fitting it into this heart shape creates such a beautiful design. It is such a fun flower effect. This is one of those, you have to see it, designs. It looks so impressive, but really there isn’t as much to it as it seems. You can use this flower heart design to other crafts too!
Supplies to Create this Heart Rock
I used acrylic paints to create a base coat, any color will do. Black acrylic is nice to have to fill in the outside of your design. You can do this heart without the black around it, but it does help clean up your edges. I highly suggest a extra fine tip paint pen for the lining. Zendoodle Flower Heart Design Step-by-Step
Below you will find step by step images on how to create this design. There is a full video tutorial after if you are looking for more details or tips!
Start by drawing a heart onto your rock. If you need, create a stencil to trace. Next, we will start to lay out the lines. Draw a line splitting the heart in half. Then add a few horizontal lines.
Split the left and right half of the heart in half vertically. Then add diagonal lines off from all of the center points. Go along each line segment and add a skinny arch on either side. Repeat for ALL of your lines.
Next, come back around and add a wider arch on every single line. Continue along all of your line segments. You will see the flowers coming together!
Continue adding lines arching farther and farther at the center of the line segment. At this point you will be retracing the top and the bottom of the arch at points. Fill all of your empty sections. The final step is optional. It really depends on how clean your lines along the edges are. You could also just create a thicker black outline.
