Creating Grumpy Monsters Step-by-Step
Below you will find step by step images on how to create this design. There is a full video tutorial after if you are looking for more details or tips!
Start by color blocking your monsters. You can use any colors you like for this! Make sure you create an arch between the bottom and top colors. Next, add on your first layer for your eye, or eyes, and tooth, or teeth. Once that layer dries you will most likely want to add a second coat.
Using an extra fine tip paint pen outline your monster. A bumpy edge gives him a bit of a furry look. Make sure to give him an eyebrow(s)! The angle of the eyebrows can really make his look so you can doodle them on paper first to decide how to do them. I created them in downward angles. Finally add in those pupils and you’re done!
