Supplies for this Snail Painted Rock

We love to paint our designs on rocks, but you can follow this tutorial on other mediums as well. For this snail design we are using water-based paint pens. Pick 2 colors that can blend well together. Then you will need a color for the snails body. Black for lining (extra fine tip works best) and a touch of white for the eye highlight!

Start by drawing a big spiral on your rock. Then color block each color along one side of the spiral. You can blend these colors together using the tip of your paint pens. You can also use a damp paint brush to help blend your colors together.

Add on your snail’s body and begin creating the spiral design. Starting near the center create curved lines all the way around the spiral. Start with them spaced apart and then fill in between them. This will help you curve around the spiral while keeping your curves consistent.
