How to Paint a Mushroom House Step-by-Step
Below you will find step by step images on how to create this design. There is a full video tutorial after if you are looking for more details or tips!
First, we are going to layout our basic shapes. We are creating a wavy line under the mushroom cap so we can expose a bit of the under side. Create your stem with a beige color. This will need more than one coat. Next, go in and add a bit of white under the mushroom cap and wrap the cap color around back to the stem. We also used this dry time to add in some grass.
When the cap dries go in and add on some dots (if you like). Next, on the stem add your second coat and while it is wet add a darker color along the edges. Using a brush blend the 2 colors together to create a little bit of depth. Now that your mushroom painting is finished you can add details if you want to make a mushroom home! Depending on the size of your painting you can add doors, windows, flowers, hearts… let your imagination run wild!! When you are done you can add bit of lining if you like.
