Rainbow Shamrock Painting Supplies
In this tutorial I am using all extra fine tip paint pens. If you only have a black paint pen you can fill in your rainbow with acrylic paints too! Just keep in mind you are filling small spaces so a toothpick or dotting tool can be very helpful for adding your paint.

How to Paint a Mosaic Shamrock Step-by-Step
Below you will find step by step images on how to create this design. There is a full video tutorial after if you are looking for more details or tips!
To begin this design you have to get a shamrock down. Place a dot in the center of your stone and then lines out in each direction. Create a heart shape on 3 of the 4 lines and a stem on the bottom. Start breaking apart your shamrock with small lines. You will need a lot of sections to get the full rainbow in. 5 from the center to the outer edges to give you 6 sections to paint.
Go through and place dots in your mosaic pieces to make sure you have enough space to get in all your rainbow colors. The dots make it a lot easier to make adjustments to your shamrock before you start to fill in all of your colors. When you are happy with the layout of the design fill it all in. To finish up, go back over you lines with your black to give it a crisp finish!
