How to paint a palm tree

Today we are jumping into a quick and easy palm tree rock painting. When looking through my nature rocks I realized the only palm trees I have done were in silhouette form!

There is nothing more beachy than a palm tree rock! But, the basic form can be a bit tricky for some. So today I have broken it down step by step so you can follow along and paint your very own palm tree rock!

Use this fun rock painting idea for your summer rocks, to remember a vacation, or to give as a gift!

Supplies to paint this palm tree

I am painting with my pens today. They help me get the good sharp edges on my palm branches. I used my 1M Pens.
I also used a couple of my 3M Pens.
both were colors from my original Posca multi-pack I purchased last year.

You can definitely recreate this design using your acrylic paints. Anytime I am using a 1M pen have a liner brush ready, size 0 or below. For the larger pens I use grab what you are comfortable with! Just make sure your paints are a good consistency to go on your rock.
