Pulling off these snowflake rocks is a whole lot easier with a 1M extra fine paint pen.
I started these winter rocks with a beautiful base coat using spray paint.
I’m using my 1M pen for precision. I don’t think I could create these very well with a brush.
Start by creating a single line on your rock, then place a dot in the center.
Now you have to cut each side of that line in thirds. This can be a bit tricky the first few times. I recommend practicing on a sheet of paper. The second line will make a very wide X shape.
The third line you will just cut the larger section in half. Try to make each line the same length. As if there is an invisible circle around your snowflake.
Now to add the design. You need to do the same thing for each section of your snowflake.
101 Tip: Rotate your rock so you are creating the shapes in the same direction each time. This helps them match. If you watch the video tutorial you will see I forgot and messed up on my rock. It can be fixed, but easier to just follow this tip and avoid the error.
You can add a second layer to your snowflake by dividing each section in half.
Don’t forget to decorate those sections too!
You can add a few more simple snowflakes along the outer edges if you have space.
Then a few little dots for the flurries in the distance.
Then some medium-sized dots for those a bit closer.
These look great as decor or to hide around town!
