For this roc,k you will need some variation in dot sizes. I used all 3 sizes from my Posca multipack but you could also go with a paint brush, medium size dot, and small dot. Check out this post for ideas of what you can use around the house
You can create this design with any color scheme you like. Since we aren’t actually blending the colors you don’t have to worry too much about color choice.
Start by adding all of your colors onto your rock. Get them as close together as you can without mixing them.
When that layer has dried go in with your medium sized pen, or dotter, and add dots along the outer edge and a few off of the shape.
Repeat with each color.
Next, go in with an extra fine tip, or smaller dotting tool, and dot all along the edges, there is no need to be overly precise here. You will need a lot of dots. Use them to connect the medium dots to the main color.
101 Tip: Although you are dotting fast make sure that you are creating dots and not dashes. This really helps create the pointillism look we are going for.
Once you have added all of the colors in tiny dots go back and add a few more here and there taking the color out to the edges of your rock.
Once you are happy with your rock you can decide what to write on it.
For this one, I went with Let it Snow with a few snowflakes in silver to match the base coat.
I also did a Merry Christmas on red and green. This technique can be used for any words, and in any color, you like!
