Turkey Rock
It wouldn’t be Thanksgiving season without having a turkey rock. Well, here it is! He is cute, simple, and is perfect for your tablescape this season.
I’ve even left some room on the rock so that you can use them as a fun place card setting at your Thanksgiving dinner!

Step by step instructions for this cacti painted rock
Grab all the supplies you need from our Amazon rock painting shop!!
Start off by grabbing a brown paint pen and drawing on a big brown peanut shape. You want this to have time to dry in case you need a second coat.
Now choose 3 colors for your turkey feathers. For my turkey, I chose to use red, light orange, and dark orange.
First, outline your tailfeathers with red. This might take a couple of coats.
Then work your way around adding the different shades of orange and red to each feather.
Add coats of paint until you are happy with your look.
Then add on a beak, snood, and the whites of your turkey’s eyes.
While those are drying you can start outlining your turkey. Don’t forget to go back and add pupils to his eyes.
When you get to the tail feathers you can add a few lines pulling from the center.
If you’re not happy with something, it’s ok to change it!
My turkeys head looked very uneven so I made it wider. I used my black paint pen to draw a new outline.
Let the black dry, and then filled it in with more brown!
Much better!
